Awards

It is a great honour to receive awards and recognitions for any venture. And Sarvavijnanakosham Institute has got so many awards and recognitions. Way back in 1979, we got the national award for best reference book. It was for the fifth volume of Sarvavijnanakosham. It was a proud moment for any Malayalee when the then Director Dr. Vellayani Arjunan, received the said award from the then President of India, Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy. Thrice we got the best reference award from Malayala Pusthaka Vikasana Samithi of the Kerala Government. For Sarva-vijnanakosham Vol. III (1977), Sarvavijnanakoshm Vol. IV (1979) and Sarvavijnanakosham Vol. VIII (1987), the SIEP got the above-mentioned awards.

In 1998, Viswasahithy vijnanakosam Volume II got the award for best reference book. This award was given by the Malayala Pusthaka Vikasana Samithi of Kerala Government.

Another prestigious award was from the International School of Dravidian Linguistics. It was in 2004 that the SIEP was thus honoured. The award was for the 12th volume of Sarvavijnanakosham.

‘Mudrana Mikavu 2009 Puraskaram’ (Award for Best Printing), Mahatma Gandhi University’s award for best printing and designing was given to the 14th volume of Sarva-vijnanakosham.

In 2010, for Jyothishastra vijnanakosam and Parinama-vijnanakosham, we got the International Bookfare Award.

Drishya Pusthakotsava Award (2013) given by the Sahithya Academy, was also bagged by the SIEP. It was for the best production of books.
